Development and Current Difficulties of the Case Guiding System in China

Professor Zhang has published in the areas of jurisprudence, philosophy of law, comparative law, Western legal philosophy, sociology of law and the Chinese judicial system. He has been involved in Chinese judicial reform for many years and is now studying judicial precedents in China. He is the Executive Director of the Institute of Comparative Law and Legal Sociology at Peking University Law School, member of the Expert Committee on Guiding Cases of the Supreme People’s Court, and Chief Researcher (First Group) of Judicial Cases Institute of the Supreme People’s Court as well as Vice President of the Association of Comparative Law.
